The aim of this research was to determine the optimum hydrometallurgical parameters to extract the rare earth elements (REE) from lowgrade bauxite through acid leaching and precipitation reaction. REE or lanthanide recovery by a precipitation method with sodium sulphate and sodium phosphate as precipitation agents is reported where the effect of pH and recovery of REE are described.
